Drilling Tips for Optimal Performance

For efficient drilling, maintain a moderate speed and apply light pressure. Periodically lift the drill to clear debris from the hole. Avoid common errors such as bending the drill, using extremely slow or high speeds, or forcing the drill down.

Our carbide drills are built for longevity, staying sharp after numerous uses. However, breakages can occur. To ensure durability, we provide top-quality solid carbide bits with 10% cobalt, specifically crafted to fit the 1.6mm OD injection needle in our kit.

In urgent cases, a 3mm multipurpose twist drill bit from a hardware store can serve as a temporary solution for grout joints 3mm or wider, though it may wear quickly on concrete and grout. Our carbide twist drills are versatile for materials like concrete, grout, stone, and ceramic.

For hard materials such as porcelain tiles, diamond drill bits may be needed, but they require high speeds (10,000-15,000 RPM), typically achieved only with specialized tools like a spindle or Dremel. Following these tips and selecting the right bit will optimize your drilling experience.
